It all started after track, i had been having pretty bad pains in my knee, but we all just kind of ignored it figuring it was because of shin splints. But when the pain hadn't stopped after about a month and had began increasing we started to think maybe something was wrong. So we decided to visit my amazing neighbor Duffy who is a physical therapist to see if maybe he could figure out what was wrong. From what it looked like he diagnosed patella something and gave me some stretches to do and told me to ice frequently. I did that for a few weeks and then we headed off to alaska for my cousins wedding. After the second day of being in Alaska my knee started getting two swollen hard masses on each side. I had extreme pain and i could barely walk on that leg. I pushed through tell the end of our trip and then insisted my dad make an appointment for me.
The doctor took an x-ray of my leg and told me that there was something building up on my bone probably just calcium but there was something and that i should get an MRI. So the next day i headed up to the valley for an MRI. Let me just tell you MRI's suckk! your like in this tiny box with no one else and all u can hear is this extremely loud beeping! and it just beeps faster and faster. And you cant fall asleep either because right about the time you fall into the rhythm of the beeping it changes! yeah it sucked! hah welll anyway I got my MRI then my dad took me to spend some time with SHELLEYYYY! and taylor and josh and john and Megan! we had alot of fun until the end when my dad picked me up and told me that i needed to have another MRI ughhhh and that we would need to go to seattle for a doctors appointment. I was reallly upset and scared and i wanted to know what was wrong. Finally my dad told me i had cancer. I cried and was really upset. But then i realized that crying wasnt getting me any anywhere. So i went to Josh's house to go to the lake with him and danny and andrewwwwww! for a few hours! Shelley came too! and it was just great and i forgot about the cancer for awhile. so that was what lead up to everything!
